As new functionality for the site comes online, I will post detailed information here. Here's the first round:
1) There is a new tag in the posting interface: the youtube tag. This will allow you to easily embed youtube video in your post. Click on it then insert the video ID between the tags. For example, if the url to the page with the video is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipZDG6__Zfc# then the text between your tags should be: ipZDG6__Zfc
Your result should look like this:
[youtube:2un1c4kq]ipZDG6__Zfc[/youtube:2un1c4kq]
Feel free to watch the whole video. You know you love Right Said Fred.

As a number of people have already discovered, avatars are now available. Avatars must be no less than 20x20 pixels and no more than 125x125 pixels. Your avatar can be no more than 7.5KB in size. You may upload your avatar directly to themountaineernation.com or link to an image hosting site like tinypic. To add/modify/delete your avatar, go to the User Control Panel.

Excellent point. If you link to a hosted image it cuts down on the expenses for our hosting. If at all possible that is the way to go.

If you write a PM and hit send you will notice it might sit in your outbox and there is no way to get it to leave. This is by design. Your message will sit in your outbox until the person you sent it to logs in the next time. This is a sort of "delivery confirmation" method for your PMs. If your recipient has logged in and the PM is still in the outbox please let me know and I'll take a look at it.
Also, the email notification of a new PM is turned on by default. To disable this, go to the User Control Panel, click on the Board Settings tab and set "Notify me on new Private Message" to off.

Big changes are in store this weekend. Here's the list of things that will hopefully be added by Monday morning:
1) A completely new look and feel. We are going to go with a bold blue and gold color scheme with some incredible new graphics courtesy of our Graphic Designer, pyro.
2) Spel Chek
3) Countdown timer to kickoff of the 2009 West Virginia University Mountaineers Football Season.
4) We are going to add a Mountaineer Trading Post. This will be were you can post if you are looking to buy tickets or trying to sell tickets. There will also be an area for buying, selling and trading WVU related mechandise. We might expand this later if there is demand, but this will start out being ONLY for WVU tickets and merchandise. Don't try to sell that autographed picture of Wanny and if you're looking to buy an autographed picture of Wanny, well, that's just sick.
5) We are going to add an article section.
