For those of you with an iPhone, there is now an app for WVU. Search iWVU.
Looks to be mainly for campus life but could be cool to check out.

I just switched to an LG Tritan, and the site looks great on the mobile side when using the phone.

My contract is up in December. Other than the Pre, Sprint doesn't have much that thrills me. I may go to the darkside and look at the iPhone. A guy I work with has one and is going to let me borrow it this week to check signal strength at home.

If I go into the mobile site the regular way, it looks like a can of generic peaches. If I use Skyfire it looks pretty much normal. But cannot use chat.

Nick, can you use chat from your phone?

No Storm...I tried, but even after it logs me into the tmnmobile site, the chat link redirects me to another log in screen that doesnt appear to be loading. It acts like it lets me into the java app, but no further.

I like Skyfire but they can't seem to pinpoint the issue with chat not working properly. For a browser that can run desktop flash apps it seems to fail miserably on our chat.
I have an Ipod and utilized the tmnmobile but last night my new posts appeared in white text instead of black against the yellow background. You talking about hard to read. Is this a setting on me on the tmnmobile?
That's tmnmobile. It is a work in progress (and as Storm will attest, a long-time work in progress). Once I get some work done on the main site I will fix tmnmobile so it is formatted properly and easy to read; in other words, full-blown handheld goodness.

TMN Mobile didn't appear to work for me. I simply saw our background with the word "footer" at the bottom. The regular site, however, works like a standard PC. For what it's worth, I use T-Mobile and am on Google's Android platform. I know you're incredibly busy too, but here is something to think about...a TMN app that sends updates to our phone, such as recruiting, scores, and even exclusive TMN articles / interviews.

Found this on a Phone forum. I haven't tried it but it looks cool and could be a help if you travel.

How to watch your house over your phone.

I thought someone might like this post. It's a way to check in on your home with live video while away and make sure that it's still there, or even catch the dog eating your shoes.
I have tried this on the browser that came with the Eris phone and the dolphine browser, both work fine. there is no sound but that wasn't on the top of my list.

what you need:

USB webcam (cheap cause you aint getting high quality)
internet
Yawcam (freeware)

http://www.yawcam.com/download.php

1. install USB webcam
2. make sure you are online
3. download and install Yawcam Yawcam - Download
4. start Yawcam
5. select a device (your webcam)
6. select a method of transmitting signal, ftp, http, stream, etc... (I used the Yawcam streaming setting to transmit my webcam signal becuase it was the easiest to understand.)
7. in the Yawcam program click the "help" and then go to "what's my url?" and it will bring up a browser page and the address for streaming.
8. copy this address of numbers and email to your phone. ( I just sent it to myself via gmail and then opened gmail on my phone)
9. click on the address link while Yawcam is running and there ya go.

try playing with the quality settings in Yawcam's output to get the best video and size.
I hope this helps someone

TMN Bowl Pick'em: http://themountaineernation.com/pages/pickem.php

This is the straight pick'em - choose who will win the game.

I'll put the other two pick'ems (spread and over/under) on the site tomorrow.

From your iPhone, their mobile site has pictures and avatar etc.
Don't know what or how they did it, you'll understand.
